Have Yourself A Ball Gown
This was my favourite of the dresses I tried out for summer tour. It’s long and flouncy, so you get to sweep it up dramatically when you go up and down steps, like Scarlet B. O’Hara (her middle name was obviously Begonias), it can really make you feel dainty as fuck. It’s majestic, it covers everything but your arms (and I know how some of you feel about your arms, and I’m going to make some more sarongs, but this time we’re going to call them dancing scarfs, and this dress pairs perfectly with them).
Sherry likes to tie knots in the bottom to shorten it and wear it with some military boots and a hat to give it more of a tough, punkier feel. They’re floor length on me, so I like to wear mine with Birkenstock heels, did you know they make cute wedges now that aren’t as clunky as they sound? I love that it’s a big enough skirt that I can easily sit on the ground and have it completely cover me no matter how I sit, and no one can see the weird way my legs squish out. I love to sit between sets or waiting for the show, and it’s so easy to clean, I don’t care about getting it dirty, and as you know, those floors can sometimes be dicey.
I love the juxtaposition of this dress, it looks like the nicest bridesmaid’s dress, but it’s durable and washable enough to wear without worrying if someone is going to spill a drink on you, or you’re going to sit in nacho cheese, or if, like me, you’re going to sweat out of every pore from dancing and end up soaking wet. It’s also quick dry, again, good for the sweat and when you get caught in the rain, they’re poly, wash and wear, easy and light to pack. They’re not a stretchy fabric, so make sure you check the sizes in the size chart, and when in doubt, go up a size. I get mine a tad big, and it’s nice to have room to move.
Now for the best part, it has Pockets. Mf’n POCKETS!! They’re big enough that you can actually ditch your purse, if you don’t have a million things in your purse, or if you do but maybe you don’t mind looking like you’re smuggling an open Lego set on your hips. I can easily carry my phone and fan, a credit card, chapstick, candies, vape, and some stickers without it looking weird. Oh, and I added some Billy Strings, Ghost, and Phish patterns, just to expand your musical wardrobe. Better pics on our Bear Cartel group on FB.
They’re $70 each or 2 for $125 if you can’t decide with one you like best, with shipping included in North America. Everywhere else, just ask and we’ll get you a quote. Please add your size in a note with your order. Or if you’re getting 2, pick the last option on the drop down and tell me in the notes which 2 dresses you picked. They take about 2 weeks to be made and arrive.
